Article 370 teaser released. Actress Yami Gautam is set to grace the silver screen in the upcoming political drama "Article 370," scheduled for release in theaters on February 23, as announced by the film's makers. The recently unveiled teaser showcases Yami delving into the complexities of terrorism prevailing in Jammu & Kashmir.

In the teaser, Yami adopts a fierce persona, asserting that the terrorism in Kashmir is not a result of people seeking azadi or freedom but rather a business perpetuated by corrupt politicians. She contends that the culprits cannot be brought to justice until the special status accorded to Jammu & Kashmir is revoked.

The teaser concludes with a gripping scene featuring Yami wielding a gun, her face smeared with blood. A voiceover then declares the abrogation of Article 370, thereby stripping Jammu & Kashmir of its special status and transforming it into Union Territories.

Produced by Jio Studios & B62 Studios, the film promises a "powerful narrative inspired by true events that shaped the fate of Kashmir," according to a press release. Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, "Article 370" features Yami in the role of an intelligence agent, focusing on the eradication of terrorism in Kashmir by rendering Article 370 ineffective.

Yami Gautam, renowned for her roles in films like "Badlapur," "Uri: The Surgical Strike," "Bala," "A Thursday," and "Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga," takes on the challenging role under the direction of Aditya Suhas Jambhale.

The film explores the historical backdrop of the Central government's decision on August 5, 2019, to revoke Article 370, which granted special status to the former state of Jammu and Kashmir, subsequently bifurcating it into the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
