Behind the Movie BOB: Commercially safe hero who can be taken granted for minimum guaranteed entertainment is Allari Naresh. He teamed with Karthika Nair and Veedu Theda fame director B Chinni for this flick. Let us see, how good are Brother and his sister Bommali?

In the Movie BOB: Story takes off with birth of twins Ramki (Allari Naresh) and Lucky (Karthika). Obviously, they both are of opposite poles. While Ramki is a soft natured guy working as an Architect, Lucky is of tomboy nature whose attitude lands Ramki in many problems. However, Lucky is always there to throw and then save her brother from all sort of troubles. One fine day Ramki falls in love at first sight with Shruti (Monal Gajjar), who is also a designer. With help of inputs from his sister and friends (Srinivas Reddy, Raghu Nandan etc), finally Ramki wins Shruti’s love and decides to marry her.

Problem comes in the form of Ramki’s parents (Kasi Vishwanath, Surekha Vani) laying a stiff condition for Lucky’s marriage to be done earlier than Ramki. It is revealed here that Lucky deeply admires to be IAS Officer Harshavardhan (Harshavardhan Rane), who is already engaged to Shruti’s elder sister (Bhanu Sri Mehra). How did Lucky, Ramki and Kona Venkat (Brahmanandam), a marriage contractor solve the entire puzzle is rest.

Values of the Movie BOB: Unlike the regular and formula story lines, BOB has a different and new concept of Brother and Sister bonding worked in comic format. B Chinni should be appreciated for his sincerity in penning new scenes evolving out a fresh flavor. The chemistry worked out between Naresh, Karthika is real lifeline for the film. Chinni scripted those episodes really superb. However, he failed to keep the promise in second half cheating the film lovers. Writing department has kept good efforts shown in the form of hilarious one-liners. Camera work by Vijay Kumar is decent while Goutham Raju editing is also clean n struck to the flow. Sekhar Chandra music is good for a couple of tunes and BGM was captivating. Production values of Ammiraju and Siri Cinema were quite well balancing.

On performance area, this role is a literal cake walk for Naresh. He was sincere in elevating the emotions along with timing those peculiar punches. Point to be highlighted is, Naresh even sweated out on dances. Karthika is the real show stealer. She stood as apt choice for Naresh’s sister matching him both in physical appearance and screen presence. Karthika has even shadowed the presence of Naresh in few scenes. Monal Gajjar is insignificant just like Harshavardhan Rane. Among the rest Brahmanandam as Kona Venkat hasn’t ripened while Srinivas reddy, Raghu Nandan were good. Vennela Kishore and JP entertained in first half. Ali had an abrupt ending. Nagineedu, Abhimanyu Singh, Bhanu Sri Mehra, Pridhvi Raj and others struck to their characters.

Out of the Movie BOB: For a lean phase stricken Allari Naresh, this is a respite for sure. Nucleus of the movie lied in Naresh-Karthika character etching and B Chinni has well done. The tempo and entertainment quotient built in first half promised for a far better second half. However, Chinni failed in living up to the excitement rolling out an unsatisfactory and run of the mill second half inspired from the same Kona Venkat, Gopi Mohan kind of narration. Even then, BOB is a safe film at BO with respect to the kind of budget spent in making. A better dealt second half could have easily made BOB the real blockbuster for Naresh or may be the highest grossing film in his career. For now, this is just a pretty average product with strong first half and pretty weak, outdated second half with unimpressive climax. This is worth watching ones for a new comic angle in brother-sister emotional bonding.

Cinejosh Verdict of Brother of Bommali: Well Done Naresh, Karthika.
