Behind the Movie Shambho Shiva Shambho: Ravi Teja, Allari Naresh and Priyamani are running on success tracks with proven BO records. All these three join together with Shiva Balaji and new Director Samuthirakani for this Shambho Shiva Shambho which was a run away hit in Tamil titled ‘Nadodigal.’ Ace producer Bellamkonda is known for wonders at BO has also generated good interest on the movie.

In the Movie Shambho Shiva Shambho: Karunakar (Ravi Teja), Malli (Allari Naresh) and Chandra (Shiva Balaji) are go happy friends with caring parents in Rajahmundry. If Karunakar, son of caring father and mother (Ahuthi Prasad, Sudha) is trying to fulfill his uncle (Tanikella Bharani)’s dream of joining a Governemnt job in order to win his daughter Munemma (Priyamani)’s hand, Malli son of poor labour (Kota) is on the trails to go abroad and is waiting for the passport, at last Chandra is son of Michael Raju (Chandra Mohan) is on a plan to start his own Computer Training Centre. If Munemma is the love of Karunakar, Pavitra (Abhinaya) the sister of Karunakar and Chandra are in deep love. Everything is going well for this gang until Santosh (Surya Tej) a friend of Karunakar enters the story urging his friend’s help to marry his girl friend Prabha. Santosh is the son of Bhavani (Roja) ex- MLA in the city and Prabha is daughter of a factionist Narasimha Reddy (Mukesh Rishi) in Kurnool. Both the parents are against their children’s love and Santosh needs the help of his friends to elope Prabha.

All these three friends with their courageous attempt go ahead in accomplishing the task by losing peace, happiness and future of their lives. In this entire task Chandra looses his leg and Malli looses his hearing senses and become deaf, while Karunakar looses his eligibility to appear Governemnt Recruitment Exams as all three are booked in kidnap case by Police Officer Mitra (Jeeva). But these three are happy for the only reason that, they have helped a FRIEND. Here comes a big twist, when Santosh and Prabha decide to go for divorce after spending together for few days in their friend (Rao Ramesh)’s resort and opinion differences start to raise between the two.

Unable to bear this sore fact, three friends who have kept their future and lives at risk for their friend’s love are now on a task to kill them. Did they really kill both Prabha and Santosh? If not what is the lesson that they want to teach them? forms the climax.

Values of the Movie Shambho Shiva Shambho: Many movies on Telugu screen have dealt with lovers and their love stories along with elopements, even few have dealt with emotions of eloped couple’s parents. Here Director altogether touches a different emotion of friendship. Ravi Teja as usual sprinkled energy on the screen with his regular dialogue delivery and the touch of mass element, but his character turns into a different mode in second half. Allari Naresh was superb and took the entire burden of comedy part. Shiva Balaji looked a little hefty after marriage and this would be the first movie for him where he really acted with heart out. Priyamani’s character was specially molded to suit the Godavari culture and entire movie, she is with no makeup. Abhinaya, the new girl is beautiful with a wonderful smile and needs to be looked in future projects. Sunil as a friend of Ravi Teja tried to evoke laughter. Surya Tej as Santosh will get some recognition after his dream debut in ‘Vinayakudu.’ Remaining Tanikella Bharani, Kinnera, Ahuthi Prasad, Sudha, Chandra Mohan, Roja, Mukesh Rishi were just okay.

Coming to technical department, Story, Script and Direction is looked after by Samuthirakani. In Story part… quite clear as he just want to elaborate that ‘My Friend’s friend is also a friend to me’ and the reasons for failure of love marriages. He looses the shine and grip in the story, when it comes to Scripting. It looked that, he has made it ‘Makki Ki Makki’ to Tamil ‘Nadodigal’ which is not wise. Many characters in the movie end up abruptly. Climax looked inconclusive but short. Music by Sundar C Babu was quite unfamiliar with Telugu audience but background was roaring. Except the tile song, none looked impressive. Photography by PG Muththaiah was impressive when it comes to elopement scenes in last minutes of first half. Production values by Bellamkonda are just okay.

Out of the Movie Shambho Shiva Shambho: Director tried to compile the movie as a mix of message with entertainment. Though the ‘friendship’ angle in the story is worth to mention, but the boring and stretched scenes in second half have done good damage to the movie along with a big drawback in the form of Music and Songs. Stories revolving around the characters of Surya Tej, Priyamani, Abhinaya are inconclusive making it a bit tougher for audience to digest. Last fifteen minutes of the first half is pulasating and is a plus to the movie. Core message of the movie is fine and crisp but emotional scenes are overdosed. Allari Naresh’s characterization provides the relief to strained story but the tinge that is expected by audience from Ravi Teja’s movie and from the title Shambho Shiva Shambho was totally absent.
