Telangana Pradesh Conggress Committee (TPCC) Chief Utttam Kumar hailed President Pranab Mukherjee for raising the issue of increasing attacks on the Dalits and the weaker sections.

The PCC chief after unfurling the Tricolour at the party headquarters here on Monday said that there has been an increase in the number of attacks on the weaker sections but the PM Narendra Modi did nothing to prevent them. He said that the nation’s growth was not possible if there was social unrest in the society.

Reddy said that both the Centre and the State governments were pursuing anti-people policies and vowed that Congress would stop such anti-people policies.

Opposition leader in Legislative Council Mohammad Shabbir Ali and others were present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, Congress spokesperson and former MP Madhu Goud Yashki termed the speech of CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao as full of lies and said that the TRS government failed to fulfill the promises made during the elections.  He alleged that the projects like Mission Kakakiya and Mission Bhagiratha were full of scams and were aimed at benefitting contractors known to the TRS leaders.
