Ysr Congress Party on Wednesday found fault with the Andhra Pradesh Government for not allotting residential and commercial plots for the farmers who parted with their lands under the Land Pooling Scheme.

Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, YSRCP MLA A. Ramakrishna Reddy asked as to why the State Government went back on its promise of providing enough compensation and commercial plots to the farmers of the capital region. "The state government is giving huge tracts of land to the foreign companies but is not giving the same preference to farmers," he said.

The YSRCP leader wondered as to how the State Government offered the foreign firms higher stake in the capital construction than the CRDA. “Foreign companies were offered 58 per cent stake while CRDA is left with 42 per cent. Is this not favouring the foreign companies?,” Ramakrishna Reddy questioned. He reiterated that the YSRCP would keep relentless struggle for the sake of farmers’ rights in the capital region.
