Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari on Monday reiterated that KG to PG free education scheme would be implemented across Telangana State from the next academic year.

Speaking after inaugurating a school at Warangal, the Deputy CM said, through the new scheme, steps would be taken to upgrade all government schools on par with other private and corporate institutions. He said that the KG to PG education scheme was aimed at providing quality education to all students at free of cost.

Kadiyam said that the scheme was quite big and therefore, all intellectuals, academicians, political leaders and teachers and students organisations were being involved to prepare the blue-print.

Earlier, the Deputy CM laid the foundation stone for various developmental works in Public Gardens of Hanamkonda. He also announced that 'Swachh Warangal' programme would be launched soon. He said Greater Warangal areas would be divided into several units for the programme.

TRS MLA Vijay Bhaskar was also present on the occasion.
