Nizamabad MP K Kavitha called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Central Hall of Parliament in New Delhi on Friday.

Kavitha submitted representation seeking the Prime Minister’s intervention for division of High Court. She also urged him to extend financial assistance to the farmers who were hit due to untimely rains.

Speaking to media persons later, Kavitha said crops spread across 50,000 hectares and over 32,000 hectares of Horticulture crops were lost due to unseasonal rains in Telangana State. The State Government has already sent a report on damages to the Centre. She said that the Prime Minister has been requested to hasten the process for sanction of Central relief to the affected farmers.

The Nizamabad MP also requested Modi to release Rs 2,000 Crore to the State under 13th Finance Commission. She also made representation on early constitution of Turmeric Board, establishment of Industrial Park in her constituency and a skill development centre for her NGO Telangana Jagruti.

Kavitha also demanded early completion of works on Peddapalli-Nizmabad Railway line and establishment of a new railway line at Dichpally.
