KCR reviews power situation in Telangana

Chief  Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has reviewed the power situation in the state with Chairman and Managing Director TS GENCO & TS TRANSCO D Prabhakar Rao this afternoon in Secretariat. 

 The Chief Minister has directed the CMD to ensure uninterrupted power supply to all the consumers in the state.  The Chief Minister said for this purpose power has to be procured from Kayamkulam and other sources. He has also ordered for release of Rs 350 Crores immediately to TS TRANSCO for purchase of Additional power. He has issued strict instructions that there shall not be any power shortage in the state. 

 The CMD TS GENCO & TS TRANSCO informed the Chief Minister that he has negotiated with the power supply sources for procuring required power and the same is being procured.

 Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma was present in the meeting.
