KCR's Mahabubnagar tour was a flop show: Aruna

Congress MLA DK Aruna on Monday accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of not giving any specific assurance to the people of Mahabubnagar on supplying drinking water.

Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here, Aruna said that the Chief Minster undertook the Mahabubnagar tour in a hasty manner. While KCR has spent four days in Warangal, he had spent only a few hours in Mahabubnagar, she alleged while describing his tour as a flop show. It appeared that KCR has visited Mahabubnagar district not as the Chief Minister, but only as the president of TRS. She alleged that none of the legislators belonging to opposition parties were invited for the Chief Minister's tour.

Aruna alleged that KCR has always given step-motherly treatment to Mahabubnagar district while ignoring the fact that people of Mahabubnagar had elected him as Member of Parliament in 2009 elections and strengthen the statehood movement. However, she alleged that KCR has failed to bring any development in Mahabubnagar during his tenure as MP.

The Congress leader said that the Chief Minister should dedicate one day for each Assembly constituency if he was serious about development of Telangana State.
