Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Thursday stated that there was no place for communal forces in Telangana State.

Speaking at the Christmas celebrations at Methodist Church at Abids, the Chief Minister said that his government would take steps to maintain communal harmony and 'Ganga-Jamuni' culture in the State. He said the communal elements would be discouraged at all levels to ensure that all communities in the State live in total peace and harmony.

Kcr claimed that he has visiting the Methodist Church for the last 10 years to pray for the formation of Telangana. He said his prayers were finally answered, he said this is the first Christmas being celebrated in State of Telangana. Assuring the Christian community of providing required assistance for its development, he said the construction of Christian Bhavan at a cost of Rs 10 crore was one such step in this direction.

Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, ministers Nayani Narasimha Reddy and Talasani Srinivas Yadav, TRS MPs K Keshava Rao and K Kavitha and other leaders participated in the Christmas celebrations. Kcr's grand children also participated in the Christmas celebrations.
