Rename 'AP Exp.' to 'T-Express' demands KCR

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has demanded that the Hyderabad-Delhi bound train "Andhra Pradesh Express" be renamed as "Telangana Express" on immediate basis.

In a letter written to the Centre on Thursday, the Chief Minister said that the train was named as 'AP Express' when Hyderabad was the capital of undivided State. Since the Telangana State has been formed, it would be appropriate if the Union Ministry of Railway rename the train as 'Telangana Express'.

Stating that a train running between Hyderabad-Sirpur Kagazhnagar is already named as Telangana Express and the same should be renamed as 'Kommaram Bheem Express'.
