Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has hinted that he would expand his Council of Ministers soon.

KCR gave indication to this affect while addressing a gathering after laying foundation stone for the construction of Girijan and Adivasi Bhavans at Banjara Hills here on Thursday. He promised that a legislator belonging to the Scheduled Tribe would be given representation in the State Cabinet.

According to sources, the Chief Minister may induct five more ministers in his cabinet in the third week of January. He is also planning to fill the posts of Chief Whip and Whip in the TRS Legislature Party. The top contenders for the ministerial berth in KCR's cabinet include Tummala Nageshwar rao (Khammam), Konda Surekha (Waranagal) A.Indrasena Reddy (Adilabad) Juppali Krishna rao (Mahabubnagar), Ajmeera Chandulal (Waranagal). A other senior leaders are expecting a berth in the State Cabinet.
