AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said he was happy over his successful visit to Japan.

Speaking to mediapersons at the Secretariat on Monday, Naidu said foreign countries were coming forward to help build new capital for the State. “My efforts in this regard would benefit the new generations in the coming years”, he said.

Ridiculing allegations of the Opposition party over development and building of new capital, he said he would keep his election promises and trying to attract investment towards this end.

Naidu said during his five-day visit to Japan, be met both government and industry representatives. He spent two days in Osaka and Kyoto which are highly industrialized and spent one day in Fukuoka, which is renowned for innovations in environmental technologies and urban planning and two days in Tokyo. His five-day visit was rewarding as he met over 500 companies as a part of his meetings with government, business and seminars. Response of the Japan Government and its agencies was promising. The Chief Minister also met Prime Minister Abe, who assured assistance to Andhra Pradesh.

The Chief Minister appreciated Japan’s commitment of USD 35 bn investments in India and requested to earmark a significant share for the development of Andhra Pradesh. Naidu also signed MoUs with Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLITT), New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), Sumitomo Corporation and with other firms.
