Palwai blames Ponnala, Digvijay for party's losses in Telangana

Rajya Sabha MP Palwai Govardhan Reddy on Friday blamed Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah and AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh for party's poor performance in General Elections and recently held Medak by-polls.

Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises, Palwai used harsh words against both Ponnala and Digvijay Singh. While calling Ponnala as "shameless", he alleged that Digvijay Singh lacks "sense". He said although Ponnala has accepted the responsibility for the party's dismal performance, he did not resign from the post. Similarly, Digvijay Singh did not ask for Ponnala's resignation even after party's defeat in Medak by-elections. He said that the Congress cadre was joining the TRS or BJP due to the inefficient leadership of Ponnala.

Palwai said that the Congress party would be completely wiped out from Telangana if the Congress High Command fail to take immediate action against both Ponnala and Digvijay Singh.
