Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday assured to resolve the problems being faced by the teachers' community in the State.

Addressing the official Teachers' Day celebrations at Ravindra Bharati here, KCR assured to conduct a review meeting by inviting all the teachers' associations in the State. He said although teachers' associations are divided on several issues, he would try to find an amicable solution to their problems. He also assured that the government would consider appointment of teachers to the post of MEO and DEOs.

KCR sought the cooperation of teachers in improving the education standards of Telangana. He said while giving full importance to Telugu language, the government would introduce compulsory English medium education from next academic year. He also lauded the role of teachers during the statehood movement.

The Chief Minister also paid rich tributes to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and recalled his services to the nation.

Best teachers of the State were also felicitated on the occasion.

Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, Education Minister Jagadish Reddy, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and other leaders were also present on the occasion.
