Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy has strongly defended nomination of T Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy as party's candidate for Medak Lok Sabha by-elections.

Speaking to media persons here, Kishan Reddy countered the allegations of TRS wherein Jagga Reddy is being projected as anti-Telangana. He said Jagga Reddy was with the BJP when the party adopted a resolution of "One Vote, Two States" by announcing its support for formation of Telangana in 1998. He said Jagga Reddy had quit the BJP for some reasons and had rejoined the party now. If TRS can give ticket to Konda Surekha, then what it wrong in giving ticket to Jagga Reddy? he asked.
