Discourage 'family run parties': BJP

Telangana BJP official spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao on Wednesday appealed to the people to following Narendra Modi's advise and discourage 'Family Run Parties'in Telangana.

In a media statement, Saagar Rao said that the Narendra Modi in his four public rallies in Telangana on Tuesday has appealed to the people of Telangana to elect a stable, progressive & development focused party in both Assembly and Parliament Elections of 2014. "Narendra Modi also appealed to the people of Telangana to not let ‘Family Run Parties’ to rule Telangana State. His reference was both to Congress and TRS," he said.

"BJP strongly feels there is a massive undercurrent of opposition to TRS in the Telangana region for its lip service to many key promises it had made, while in the flow of Telangana movement. KCR’s unceremonious withdrawal from ‘Dalit CM’ promise is causing widespread damage to his credence across the Telangana region. He has earned a huge ‘Trust deficit’ in Telangana with his ‘U’ turn on this very crucial commitment," Saagar Rao said.

The BJP leader said that KCR also has made promises to the youth of Telangana that after the formation of separate state, they would have lakhs of jobs and there would no unemployment. However, in TRS Election Manifesto, he has vowed to regularize all the contract employees and extend the age of retirement to 60, both of these poll promises are totally in contradiction to the earlier promise of jobs to the youth immediately after state formation. The youth of Telangana today feel betrayed by KCR promise of jobs to them, he said.

"Congress has nothing to offer to Telangana. They have successfully regressed the state by 20 years in the last 10 years of their rule. In fact the Congress party is so confused that it does not know, in what form to go to the voter to seek votes. The ‘Guilty Conscience’ of Congress party is clearly getting exposed in this election campaign, as they are unable to own their role in the achievement of Telangana. Except for tabling the State Division bill in the parliament, they played literally no role in neither fighting for Telangana nor achieving it with their singular strength. The Telangana Bill would have not passed in either houses of Parliament without BJP’s unconditional support," Krishna Saagar said.

He cliamed that the people of Telangana understand clearly that BJP is the only option today for the Telangana State progress. If people of Telangana wish progress and good governance, they must choose BJP in these elections to rule and serve them, he said.
