Cine star Nandamuri Balakrishna did not rule out the possibilities of him being offered the post of Chief Minister of residuary State of Andhra Pradesh if TDP is voted to power.

Speaking to media persons after filing his nomination from Hindupur Assembly constituency in Anantapur district, Balakrishna said that he was willing to accept the post of the Chief Minister if the party asks him to do so. He expressed confidence that the TDP would come to power in both Telangana and Seemandhra regions. He asked all family members of Nandamuri family including Junior NTR to campaign for the TDP candidates in ensuing elections.

He also promised creation of NTR District. He said Hindupur has the huge potential of growth due to its proximity to Bangalore and massive industrialisation would change the face and fate of this backward constituency. 

Meanwhile, addressing a road show, Balakrishna promised to make Hindupur the best constituency in the State. He also promised to construct Basvatarakaram Cancer Hospital in Hindupur. He said he was not contesting the elections to get any posts or power, but to work for the people's welfare.

Earlier, Balakrishna, along with his family members, reached Bangalore this morning and went to Hindupur by road. Before filing the nomination papers, he conducted prayers at Suguru Anjaneya Swamy Temple.
