BJP will win over 300 seats: Dattatreyya

BJP National Vice-President Bandaru Dattatreyya on Wednesday hoped that the BJP would more than 300 seats in the ensuing general elections.

Speaking to media persons after filing nomination from Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituency, Dattatreyya said that the country has already decided to vote in favour of change and to make Narendra Modi, the next Prime Minister of India. He said that the BJP would revive the welfare schemes which were originally started during the reign of National Democratic Alliance Government at the Centre. He alleged that the Congress-led UPA continued the same schemes although it re-named them to give them Congress coating.

Dattarreyya express confidence of winning from Secunderabad Lok Sabha after almost one decade. He said that the development activities came to a halt since Congress leader Anjan Kumar Yadav got elected in 2004. He said that he would take up the development of Secunderabad constituency at a fast pace if voted to power again.

When asked about the BJP's alliance with the TDP, Dattatreyya said no party had an upper hand and the alliance would help both the groups in the ensuing elections. He said that alliance was done to prevent the division of anti-Congress votes in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
