The alliance between the Telugu Desam Party and Bharatiya Janata Party in Telangana looks uncertain with second-rung leaders from both the parties opposing

District unit presidents of BJP in Telangana region, who held a separate meeting on Saturday, held talks with National Spokesperson Prakash Javedkar opposing the alliance. They even threatened to quit the party if it enters into an alliance with the TDP. Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy tried in vain to pacify them by saying the national leadership would take the final decision.

It may be mentioned that Javadekar and others senior leaders includiung Naresh Gujral and G Satish arrived in Hyderabad this morning to finalise the seat-sharing pact with the TDP. They held on round of talks with TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu at latter's residence. However, before they could meet again in the evening, the District Units presidents served them the warning.

Meanwhile, the Hyderabad district unit of TDP too opposed the alliance and city president Talasani Srinivas Yadav convened an emergency meeting on Sunday.
