Harish Rao ridicules TDP's manifesto

Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader T Harish Rao on Tuesday ridiculed the manifesto of Telugu Desam Party wherein it promised 'Nava Telangana'.

Speaking to media persons here, Harish Rao said that Naidu's promise of 'Nava Telangana' was the joke of the millennium. He said that TDP was never sincere towards the Telangana issue and created obstacles in its formation. However, after the bifurcation of State, it is trying to gain votes of Telangana people by luring them with attractive slogans like 'Nava Telangana'.

Harish Rao also condemned TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu's promise of free power. Recalling that once Naidu had stated farming was not needed, he said that the TDP chief was not trying to cheat farmers with the promise of free power. He said while Naidu did not provide anything for free while in power, he is trying to attract people's attention by offering freebies.

The TRS leader said that TDP's manifesto was like cutting people's throat. Predicting total rout of TDP from Telangana in ensuing elections, he said soon a "To-Let" board would be seen outside the NTR Trust Bhawan.
