TPJAC submits 11-point wish list to GoM

The Telangana Political Joint Action Committee on Saturday sent an 11-point list of demands to the Group of Minister (GoM) on Telangana.

The TPJAC demanded that the Hyderabad should be joint capital of Telangana and residuary State for a period of only three years. It opposed the Centre's proposal to make Hyderabad the joint capital of two States for a 10-year period. In his memorandum, TPJAC Chairman Prof M Kodandaram said that there should be no change in the status of Hyderabad.

Prof Kodandaram said that a tribunal should be constituted to decide the water resources to be shared between the two States. Similarly, the power distribution should be done in accordance with GO Ms No 53 and additional gas should be allocated as per the demand. He also demanded that the administrative powers vested with the Singareni Collieries Ltd should be not be interfered with.
