A day before the crucial meeting of the United Progressive Alliance's Coordination Committee, the Congress High Command on Monday summoned Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Deputy CM Damodara Rajanarasimha and PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana to the national capital for a final round of discussion on the Telangana issue.

The Congress High Command is likely to discuss the Telangana issue with the UPA Panel in a meeting to be held on Tuesday evening at 4 PM. This would be immediately followed by the meeting of the Congress Working Committee at 5.30 PM. Therefore, some analysts feel that the Centre might announce its decision on Telangana statehood issue by Tuesday evening.

However, the decision on Telangana might not be final and would be advisory in nature. For instance, the Centre might propose two to three options including the option of Rayala-Telangana by merging Anantapur and Kurnool district. The proposal of making Hyderabad as the joint capital of two States may be another proposal.

Therefore, some analysts strongly believe that the Centre's decision would trigger another series of debates on the issue.
