Senior Congress leader and former minister Jc Diwakar Reddy on Friday demanded that the tainted ministers should resign from the cabinet.

Talking to reporters, Diwakar Reddy praised Textiles Minister Dr P Shankar Rao for 'exposing' the corrupt ministers while referring to the allegations that Dr Rao has levelled against Home Minister P Sabitha Reddy and Excise Minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana recently. He indirectly blamed the allegedly tainted ministers for not resigning from their posts.

Diwakar Reddy recalled that during Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy's tenure, the then ministers resigned following some allegations of corruption in their departments owing moral responsibility. "They had enough strength to offer their resignations," he said.

Diwakar Reddy also accused Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao of being responsible for the attacks on Seemandhra leaders and officials. He alleged that KCR was responsible for torching of the bus belonging to his company Diwakar Travels on Thursday night. He said Seemandhra people and their properties are not safe in Hyderabad.

"Our fears have come true," he said adding that the Telangana leaders have lost control over their activists who are now indulging in open violence against the Seemandhra people.
