Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA K T Rama Rao on Saturday stated that Trs president K Chandrasekhar Rao would sit in for indefinite hunger fast in between Dushera and Deepavali festivals.

Addressing a gathering as part of 48 hour 'Rail Roko' being observed under the aegis of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee at Moulali Station, Rama Rao said the final decision in this regard would be taken by the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee. However, he confirmed that the KCR would be beginning his fast after Dushera festival.

The Trs MLA, who is also KCR's son, said that the family has advised KCR from observing indefinite fast due to ill-health. However, he said that KCR was keen on sitting fast if the Centre fails to take concrete decision on Telangana state soon.

Claiming that the Rail Roko was big success in the region, he said that people from all sections of the region have been voluntarily participating in the agitation and expressing solidarity for the cause of statehood. He hinted that the Rail Roko agitation would be prolonged, if necessary.

Slamming the Telugu Desam Telangana Forum members for staging dharnas using its party president N Chandrababu Naidu photos, he said the people would teach a fitting lesson to forum for adopting ambivalent stand on Telangana state. He warned that attacks on Forum members would recur if they sit in dharnas using Naidu's photos.

Rama Rao also slammed Congress leaders for sticking to their posts without showing commitment towards achieving Telangana. He asked both Congress and TDP Forum members to keep aside their party agenda and flag and work sincerely for the cause of statehood.
