Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, Mr Janardhan Reddy said that Mr Mukherjee’s attempt to ascribe miscommunication as the reason for Mr Chidambaram’s statement was reflective of his not taking the separate statehood demand seriously.

“Mr Mukherjee should open his eyes and understand the prevailing situation in the Telangana region,” the suspended TDP leader said. He added that the leaders sitting in New Delhi are making these types of statements due to lack of unity among the Telangana leaders.

Mr Janardhan Reddy also demanded Congress president Sonia Gandhi to break her silence ‘at least now’ and announce a clear decision on separate Telangana, thereby fulfilling the aspirations of the people. The suspended TDP MLA also demanded the sacking of Congress in-charge of state affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad for speaking against Telangana in China.

He alleged the Seemandhra leaders of trying to blackmailing attempts by claiming that Hyderabad was developed by the Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema people. Mr Janardhan Reddy further warned Seemandhra leaders of serious consequences if they did not stop their provocative statements thereby hurting the sentiments of Telangana people.

The suspended TDP leader further revealed that he and his three other colleagues who have been suspended from the party would meet Speaker Nadendla Manohar and press for acceptance of their resignations submitted on July 3. Venugopala Chary, another suspended MLA, slammed the Centre for not respecting the Constitution despite former Home secretary Gopal Krishna Pillai clearly stating that there was no objection for forming the Telangana state
