Mani Ratnam Classic Hindi Remake!

Each of the films created by Mani Ratnam is worth to be called a benchmark at scripting or using the cast, crew. Among such films, ‘Gharshana’ starring Prabhu, Karthik released long ago as ‘Agni Natchathiram’ in 1988 is now getting remade in Hindi with prominent star cast. Major conflict in the story between two sons born to different mothers and one father received both commercial and critics applause. 

According to reports, director Bejoy Nambiar is all set to remake Mani Ratnam’s blockbuster. Currently, the ‘Wazir’ director is finalizing the cast, crew. Most surprising entry is Tamil star Dhanush taking up Karthik’s role. Bejoy approached Dhanush and the deal is officially confirmed. Harsha Vardhan Rane is the one who is looking to take Prabhu’s character.

Anyways, cult films are always prone to dangerous comparisons. ‘Gharshana’ remake can sound good but how far Bejoy Nambiar matches his caliber to the original should have to be wait and seen.
