Chiranjeevi's 'Indra' Industry Hit Story

Megastar Chiranjeevi's industry hit movie 'Indra' was released on 24th July, 2002 and completed 12 years of its release on 24th July, 2014. The movie was directed by B Gopal and was produced by Aswini Dutt on Vyjayanthi Movies. Sonali Bindre and Aarthi Aggarwal were seen opposite to him in the movie while Manisharma composed the music. Records set by the movie are as follows.

* The movie collected a share of Rs.33 crores including audio and satellite rights. This movie is considered to be the first Rs.30 crores movie of tollywood. Previous industry hit 'Khushi' collected Rs.24 crores.

* 'Indra' ran 175 days( silver jubilee) directly in 32 centers, an all time record.

* The movie ran 100 days run directly in 118 centers( all time record) and 50 days directly in 156 centers( all time record)

* 'Indra' is the only movie of tollywood to have all time records in full run shares, 50 days centers, 100 days centers and 175 days centers, till date.

* 'Indra' was the 8th industry hit in Chiranjeevi's career.
