As a technician Gunasekhar enjoys the special tag of most efficient director who introduces new technologies and enjoys working on new ideas with magnificent settings becoming USP for most of his films. May it be Charminar set in ‘Okkadu’ or Bengal culture in ‘Choodalani Undi’ or Madhura Meenakshi temple in ‘Arjun’ and so on, when we speak about authentic syncing of backdrop with story narration, Gunasekhar tops the list.

How come such a genius director failed to erect any of the big settings bringing into light the perfect shades of Kakatiya dynasty and culture of that era is still a question mark for many critics. Most of the visuals including Kakatiya Stupam or 1000 Pillars temple shown in ‘Rudhramadevi’' are created in lowest order quality CG.

Artistic set work being the real identity of Gunasekhar but for the first time when there is ample scope to re-create the magic on screen, ‘Rudhramadevi’ missed in connecting with hearts of audience just because of inferior CG work and absence of no big settings, which is not the quality mark of Guna.
