Definitely 'Ok Bangaram' is a good film reviving the credibility of Mani Ratnam in the eyes of South audience. He is consistently faltering at BO with flop films disturbing the moods of his die hard admirers. Every film of Mani in recent times had loads of hard work and dedication but the story, scripting selection were on the swallow. Finally, Mani seems to have re-winded his golden hits from the past to hand pick best episodes which are connected with youth.

'Ok Bangaram' is made based on live-in relations and how present day youth can re-mould their attitudes in the process of understanding the real essence of love has been dealt with precision. Into the past, Mani always stood as a pioneer in selecting story lines which are fresh and mind stirring. For example 'Yuva' is one of the best ones from this film intellectual. If Mani comes out victorious with the acceptance of public for this kind of films, that is true Mani for us.

'Ok Bangaram' might be a hit from public and commercial perspective, for keen observers of Mani this is one step down in his standards. Agreed that Mani, AR Rahman, PC Sreeram and Sreekar Prasad are superb as a team which established the result of 'Ok Bangaram.'

May it be the romance of Nithya-Dulquer or tender emotions in Prakashraj-Leela Samson, these are all outdated and tested before by the same Mani. Please get something new for us sir.
