Pk’ is a clean film from Aamir Khan and Raj Kumar Hirani made on a mind blowing concept on god, faith, humanity and business processes based on human weaknesses/fears. This is a novel topic which was earlier touched by Umesh Shukla for ‘Oh My God,’ which was received well by critics and a section of audience. Thankfully, the same is now being remade in Telugu with necessary improvements titled as ‘Gopala Gopala’ starring Pawan Kalyan, Venkatesh. However, at a time when ‘GG’ is set for release in early next month how far ‘Pk’ would affect the final output of ‘GG’ is definitely an interesting topic.

Similarities between ‘Pk’ and ‘GG’ would be the rationalistic approach on questioning the godly beliefs of people. While Venky will be a pure atheist, Aamir Khan is totally an alien material. Of course, they preach the same. If Hindu God-Men are the only ones questioned in ‘OMG,’ there was a wider space for Aamir Khan taking softly on all the religions. Take it for sure; the nature of content looks same for a layman. Scripting and direction wise, they stand on different footings but the question is how far a Hindi film from a Super Star can show the effect on Telugu film from a Power Star.
