With no big offers in kitty, the slender framed hot babe has stepped into Sandalwood (Kannada films) bagging a film titled as ‘Chandra’ for which Shriay is known to have offered a bumper rebate by slashing remuneration from Rs.80 Lakhs to Rs.40 Lakhs.

Kannada films lie far below in the production values compared to Telugu and Tamil. So, Shriya who charges a bomb of amount in other languages wanted to make sure of making herself available to Kannada producers by lying in the range of Rs.40-50 Lakhs. Before zeroing on Shriya as heroine in ‘Chandra,’ makers had the choice between Divya Spandana, Amala Paul, Dia Mirza and Amrita Rao. However, Shriya has got lucky with director Roopa Iyer.
