Siddhu Jonnalagadda endeared himself to all with his unique dialogue delivery and mannerisms in DJ Tillu, Tillu Square and became Star Boy in the hearts of all. However he tasted his first reverse with Jack. He is now pinning all his hopes on his romantic entertainer Telusu Kada. The film marks the debut of popular stylist Neeraja Kona. Telusu Kada OTT rights have been bagged by Netflix. The film is releasing as Diwali treat on 18 Oct 2025 and let us see what Siddhu Jonnalagadda offered to movie lovers.
Telusu Kada story revolves around a youngster who gets entangled in the web of love between two beautiful girls and how he overcomes them and emerge successful in life.
Varun (Siddhu Jonnalagadda) after few disturbing happenings in his life, decides to move on and finds his life partner Anjali Sharma (Raashii Khanna) and enters into wedlock.
When everything is going on smoothly and happily, he gets a shock of his life. What are the disturbing happenings in his life, what shock he got and how it is connected to beautiful girl Raaga Kapoor (Srinidhi Shetty), what role his friend Abhi (Viva Harsha) played form the interesting part of the narration.
Siddhu Jonnalagadda showcased his acting talent. He showed his versatility in his body language, dialogue delivery and expressions. He showed determination to carry the film on his shoulders. He sported a new look in the film. He tried to come out of the Tillu hangover and one should complement him for doing so though at times he looked odd.
Raashii Khanna came up with an impressive performance and she looked ravishing on the screen. He on screen chemistry with Siddhu Jonnalagadda is quite good. She expressed well in an appealing manner.
Srinidhi Shetty made an impact with stellar performance. She made her presence felt in the flash back episodes. Her expressions and emotions and dialogues makes an impression.
Viva Harsha is good in the role of the friend and he impressed in emotional and entertaining scenes. Others like Rohini, Annapurnamma, Sanjay Swaroop performed according to their roles.
Telusu Kada story is penned by Neeraja Kona. She on her debut came up with a triangular love story. She dealt with the complex relationships like marriage and live in relationship, perception of youngsters and how they deal with them. The narration sails of smoothly and youngsters may find themselves related to the proceedings. Few dialogues connect chords with emotions and humour.
But the slow pace, repetitive scenes ends to testing the patience of viewers. The story has couple of novel points and screenplay turns out to be uni dimensional offering nothing much. The conflict turns out to be simple and as it was revealed quite early from then on viewers aren't offered nothing much and lack to twists and surprises.
The first half ends with a decent twist but the second half ends up testing the patience of all. The dialogues and scenes involving Annapoorna looked very cheap. Extensive usage of slow mo shots didn't add value to the proceedings.
The music tuned by Thaman is soulful. Couple to songs he tuned are melodious and beautifully shot and mesmerized everyone. He came up with a background music witch takes viewers into the story connecting chords with them.
Naveen Nooli's ending is ok but could have been far better as there are repetitive scenes that impacted the film's pace of the narration.
VS. Gnana Sekhar beautified the film with his camera angles. He turned the scenes colourful with his cinematography. Dialogues are youthful and production values are good.
Altogether, Telusu Kada turns out to be relatable youthful entertainer. Neeraja Kona came up with a triangular love story and got the optimum from the cast and crew. But the slow pace, repetitive scenes, lack of powerful story and weak screenplay and forced emotions played the spoilsport. Considering the above aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 2.25 rating for Telusu Kada.
