Bindu Madhavi, Navadeep's Newsense webseries is generating immense interest as it is inspired by the real-life happenings in the world of stringers in the Madanapalle Press Club in Andhra Pradesh in the early 90s. The webseries trailer and teaser got a good response and it is streaming on Aha Video. Let us find out how Newsense excited movie lovers.

Newsense: Story Review

Newsense story highlighted how the press and the journalists functioned in the 80s. It is all about the real-life happenings around four decades back in Madanapalle, Hyderabad. Shiva (Navadeep) is a reporter associated with the Press Club, Madanapalle, Andhra Pradesh. People of Madanapalle trust the media and come to them for solutions to their problems as their last resort.

Newsense: Artists Review

Navadeep is good in the role of the reporter. He showed intensity in his eyes and showed the right kind of body language. But at times he turned expressionless and at other times he came with a single expression. Bindu Madhavi is ok in her role as a TV reporter. Others performed according to their roles.

Newsense: Technical Review

Newsense story penned by journalist Priyadarshini Ram and Sri Pravin is inspired by real-life incidents. He tried to show how the media functioned during the 70s-90s. The narration starts in an interesting manner but from then on Sri Pravin loses steam as he drags each and every scene in his quest to highlight each and every character and episode. There are six episodes in the webseries and none of the episodes have any interesting twists and turns.

One gets a feeling that Sri Pravin got carried away with the happenings in the 80s that he tried to narrate each and every minute detail and this dragged the film and with no real twists and turns the narration turned routine. Screenplay and direction turned routine and monotonous and within minutes into the story, viewers will lose interest.

Suresh Bobbili's background music is ok and is in sync with the story. The cinematography of Anant Nag Kavuri captured the village atmosphere in a beautiful and realistic way. He showed the village atmosphere quite well. Srinivas Baiynaboyina's editing left a lot to be desired. There are lot of drags and repetitive scenes and this slowed the pace of the narration and ended up testing the patience of the viewers. Dialogues penned by Jayasimha are natural and ok.  Production values of TG. Vishwa Prasad's People Media Factory is ok.

Newsense: Rating Analysis

Altogether, the Newsense webseries is a routine political drama with a rural backdrop. The premise selected by Sri Pravin generated interest and the presence of Navadeep and Bindu Madhavi increased the curiosity. Though Sri Pravin tried to expose the nexus of politicians and the media and other influential parties, he failed to increase the intensity. The. lackluster screenplay and direction and no real twists and turns in the script ended up irritating viewers. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 1.5 rating to Newsense.
