The film's OTT partner is yet to be finalised and will be done at the later stage. The film directed by Ramesh Kaduri is releasing on 7 April 2023. Let us find out whether Meter gauged the pulse of movie lovers.

Meter Movie: Story Review

Meter story is all about a youngster who becomes a cop much against his wishes and the developments related to it and how he deals with them. Arjun Kalyan (Kiran Abbavaram) detests police after watching his father, a honest officer getting insulted repeatedly. He never shares this to his father who dreams of seeing him as a powerful police officer.

But as fate would have it, he lands in a police job and gets posting as SI at Punjagutta Police Station, Hyderabad. He tries his best to get ousted from the job getting ideas from his friend (Sapthagiri). All these acts however turn him even more powerful but he gets a shock in form of Home Minister ByReddy(Dhanush Pawan). Where this leads to and how it effects his girl friend (Athulyaa Ravi), Commissioner Krishna Murali (Posani Krishna Murali) should be seen on the screen.

Meter Movie: Artists Review

Kiran Abbavaram played the role of tailor made for him. However one gets a feeling that he just passed through the motions by delivering the same routine mass dialogues, showing same expressions and failing to come with intense emotions. In dances, he performed the same dance moves which were seen earlier in his films.

Athulyaa Ravi on her Tollywood debut had a forgettable outing. She got an inconsequential role and is confined to dances and songs. Wonder why she signed and did the role. She is ok with her looks.

Posani Krishna Murali and Sapthagiri played the roles typical of them. Dhanush Pawan is ok in the role of the Home Minister. Others performed according to their roles.

Meter Movie: Technicians Review

Meter story written by Ramesh Kaduri is all about a youngster who joins a profession much against his wishes and then works with passion after some important developments. Ramesh Kaduri came up with a routine age old story with no real is twists and turns.

The narration treads on a predictable note and the first half ends bringing relief to the viewers. By the end of the first half almost the theatre is empty as many ran away with in minutes into the start.

For those hopefuls, who expected a better second half things turned worse and he the climax came as a saving grace. With no real expressions and all emotions and inexperience of the director, Meter turned out to be a non starter.

Sai Kartheek's music is nothing new and he followed the mass template. His background score is just ok. Venkat C Dileep's Cinematography is average. Editing is below par but one cannot be faulted as the story turned out to be pathetic. Dialogues routine and ordinary. Production values ok. It is still a mystery as to why Mythri Movies associated with the project.

Meter Movie: Advantages

  • Nothing

Meter Movie: Disadvantages

  • Everything

Meter Movie: Rating Analysis

Altogether, Meter is a routine and senseless film. Kiran Abbavaram's Meter directed by Ramesh Kaduri turned out to be silly and outdated. Ramesh Kaduri tried to establish Kiran Abbavaram as a mass hero but he completely failed with his story, screenplay and direction. Meter comes with a tagline Measure of Passion but passion is missing throughout. The film tuned out to be a colossal disaster and Kiran Abbavaram should know his strengths and do films accordingly rather than crave for mass image and burn his hands. He should learn from stars like Nikhil and Adivi Sesh and create a niche for himself. Considering all these points, Cinejosh goes with a maximum 1 Rating for Meter
