Stating that he would raise this issue in the parliament seeking action on guilty, he said that there was no need for the states to have separate flag for the states.

By hoisting another flag on the same day, he said, they insulted our national flag. He alleged that leaders hoisting Telangana flag to provoke the people in the region towards the separate statehood. He said that the nation has only one flag and that should be hoisted on Independence Day.

Lagadapati alleged that YSR Congress party president Jaganmohan Reddy was following the footsteps of Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj. He recalled that former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy followed the footsteps of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, former prime ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.

Stating that the people of the state are observing Jaganmohan Reddy movements closely, Lagadapathi Rajagopal asked Jagan why he did not raise his voice against corruption which took place during the tenure of former chief minister YSR.
