Adi Purush has been the cynosure of all eyes when Om Raut, who won a national award for his film Tanjaji-The Unsung Hero teamed with Prabhas and decided to cast him in the role of Lord Ram. Telugu movie lovers got excited at the prospect of seeing Prabhas in the role of Lord Ram and all the movie lovers from across the country got thrilled as Adi Purush happens to be Prabhas first straight Bollywood project and that too he is playing the role of Lord Ram.

However, when the teaser was released, the makers got brutally trolled for the poor VFX and cartoonish caricatures of the characters. The way Om Raut showed Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan in the roles of Ram,Sita and Rawan disappointed and people couldn't digest it to the core. Telugu movie lovers who are used to seeing legends like NTR,ANR,Sobhan Babu and others in the role of Lord Ram, couldn't come to terms of Ram having long hair and thick mustache.

No amount of convincing worked and many even approached courts and filed cases against them seeking directions to ban the film from releasing. The makers went into silent mode and on the eve of Ram Navami, the makers came up with another poster wishing all on the festival. But the poster worsened the matter as the looks of Prabhas,Kriti Sanon looked the same and did not inspire confidence.

It seems only a divine intervention and the magic and miracle of Lord Ram only can save the film at the box office.

Netizens started trolling the makers brutally and here are a few comments.

Nothing against the actors, not their fault. But even the poster doesn't look promising." An Instagram user said, "Worst adaptation." A comment read, "Just imagine Prabhas' Baahubali look of long hair as Lord Rama… it would have been awesome."Another person said, "Better to drop this project Prabhas anna (brother)."
