Movie lovers and general people got excited when the chain of multiplexes joined hands, came forward to announce National Cinema Day, and announced that they will give a visual feast to everyone at an affordable price of just Rs 75 in multiplexes. Many felt that this will enable even the poor to experience the visual spectacles on the big screen in the multiplexes. However, the much-publicized National Cinema Day was postponed from September 16 to September 23 and people felt that it was done in order to facilitate the makers of Brahmastra to gain more profits.

Now it is coming out that National Cinema Day is not for all and comes with a twist. Not all the multiplex chains are offering those ticket rates. Already PVR Cinemas announced that the offer is not available in many cities like Hyderabad, Kochi, and others. AMB Cinemas and other multiplexes opened ticket counters for upcoming films at regular rates. Movie lovers feel that they are cheated by the multiplexes in the name of National Cinema Day
