Samantha's pain for Shakuntalam

Samantha is starring in Gunasekhar's mythological entertainer Shakuntalam. The makers released Samantha's look in which she looked like an angel, regal and royal as a princess. But it is coming out that Samantha underwent a lot of pain during her transformation for the role of Shakuntala.

Gunasekhar speaking to scribes revealed that for Samantha's look as Shakuntala, they have made extensive research and found that Samantha lived near the bank of river Malini and surrounded by the birds, animals, and trees who form part of the characters in the film.

He added that Shakuntala named a deer as Netrika. Producer Neelima Gunasekhar said Samantha shed weight for her role and also attended a few workshops. He sid the floral accessories, jewels are imported from Amsterdam, Netherlands. She said the jewels are heavy and Samantha suffered rashes when she wore them but she continued using medication. Neeta Lulla styled Samantha's look as Shakuntalala in the film. The film stars Dev Mohan as King Dushyant and Allu Arha, daughter of Allu Arjun as Prince Bharat.
