Adipurush: Prabhas Repeating Saaho Mistake!

One of the major reasons for Prabhas’s last film Saaho ended up as a flop in Telugu states was major cast is from Bollywood. In his desperate attempts to increase Hindi market, Prabhas is accepting his makers’ proposal of roping in North actors. Except for very few actors, most of the prominent cast and crew of Saaho are of Bollywood people.

It seems Prabhas is repeating Saaho mistake for his first straight Bollywood film Adipurush to be helmed by Om Raut. The film based on Ramayana will see most of the lead cast and crew from Bollywood. Already Saif Ali Khan is officially confirmed to play Lankesh (Ravan) in the film, wherein reports suggest that Angad Bedi and Sunny Singh are being considered to play Indrajit and Lakshman respectively. Official announcement is awaited on this.

There’s no wrong in casting Bollywood actors. But, Pan India films need to feature south actors as well, or else it will completely be treated as a Bollywood film. Saaho that was well received in Hindi turned out to be a disaster in Telugu, not just because of poor content but also because of wrong casting. Now, the same mistake is repeated for Adipurush.

Prabhas who is currently busy completing Radhe Shyam will begin the shoot of Adipurush from January. He will also do couple of other films in 2021- one is with Nag Ashwin and the other is with Prashanth Neel.
