Roopa Koduvayur caught the attention of all with her performance in Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya. She says she realized her dream of becoming an actor after realizing her mother's dream of seeing her as a doctor.

Roopa, a well-trained classical dancer says she got into limelight for her performance 'Saaho Re baahubali song' in her YouTube channel. She added that her dances for Vishwanath's films songs also got good response.

Roopa gave more than 1000 stage performances at state and national level. Her mother Manga Lakshmi is a Sanskrit lecturer and father Ravikumar is in Army. She did her schooling in Amali School and Sri Chaitanya School. When her mother told her that she would be happy if she becomes a doctor, she studied hard, got good rank in EAMCET, and got a free seat in Katuri Medical College in Guntur.

She said her mother had cancer while she was preparing for EAMCET. She said at that time she planned to do a specialization as an Oncologist. She revealed that she is treating covid 19 patients and shared how difficult it is to be wearing two masks, goggles, face shield, and also have PPE suits.

She says she likes films and especially Suhasini and Radhika. She said she was unaware as to how to approach but when she heard that the makers are looking for heroines for Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya, she sent her profile. She said director Venkatesh Maha and producer Praveena selected her after audition.
