Ace director SS Rajamouli created a sensation with his magnum opus Baahubali. The film elevated the standard of Indian cinema at the international level. Many rumors spread about the cast and crew of the project and many wondered whether Rajamouli planned Baahubali in such a manner.

Many times during Chatrapathi's time, Prabhas' father Satyanarayana Raju expressed his desire to see his son as a king. Rajamouli said after hearing this he too felt the same.

But sources say for the role of Baahubali, Rajamouli first planned to cast Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan. But Hrithik did not show interest and the role went to Prabhas.

Similarly, he planned to cast John Abraham for the role of Bhalladeva. But with John now showing interest, the role went to Bhalladeva.

Rajamouli thought of casting either Sridevi or Manchu Lakshmi in the role of Shivagami. But with both not showing interest, the role went to Ramya Krishna.

Similarly, he planned to cast Sonam Kapoor in the role of Tamannaah as Princess Avantika. But Sonam did not show interest and Tamannaah seized the opportunity.

Rajamouli planned to cast Mohan Lal in the role of Kattappa. But Mohan Lal couldn't allocate dates for so many years and rejected the offer. Satyaraj entered and stunned all with his performance.

Whatever may be Rajamouli's plans the final cast and crew created a sensation at the international level with their power-packed performances.
