Hero Nithin is on a high scoring a hit with Bheeshma. Right after that he lined up projects with Venky Atluri, Chandrasekhar Yeleti and Krishna Chaitanya. He is also starring in the direction of Merlapaka Gandhi. The film is a remake of Bollywood hit Andhadhun.

It is known that the film has a lady villain. Tabu played exceptionally well in her role in the original. The makers planned to rope in Tabu in the remake but went back due to her astronomical remuneration. They tried to cast Ramyakrishna. Since it's a negative role, not only she but others are also not coming forward.

Nithin is facing problems regarding heroines as Andhadhun has many intense lip-locks, intimate scenes and heroines are not showing interest in doing them. The makers considered Keerthy Suresh and Priyanka Arul Mohan but with both refusing to do the intimate scenes, they are now planning to completely do away with those scenes.
