Respect for a director increases when a director does not face plagiarism allegations with his films. The industry will recognize that director who comes with his own stories and visualize them on screen. Respect for such director increases even among movie lovers. Director should have the qualities of not crossing the budget, delivering the project in time to the producer, and deal with Navrasas with aplomb.

If one looks for such qualities in Tollywood directors, only two of them have such qualities. They are Sukumar and Koratala Siva. Both can come up with original stories and can visualize them on screen with originality. Their films do not suffer from copy shades. To the top of it, no one can beat them when it comes to scoring commercial hits. Though Sukumar got shocks now and then, his success rate is high. Sukumar is also known for his experiments and variations and others cannot match them. Koratala is known to score hits without experimenting much. He has strong writing skills.

Then the question arises where are the likes of Rajamouli, Trivikram Srinivas and Puri Jagannadh? Though we cannot rule them, as all of them scored blockbusters and created industry records, they faced plagiarism allegations. So they should be categorized in a different league.
