Lockdown Extension: Disadvantages to Ruling Parties?

India's 21-day Lockdown has been a tremendous success and the nation turned an inspiration to other countries fighting against coronavirus pandemic. It was a painstaking moment for the people to be the part of this fight. Yet again their revolt against the ghastly virus is justified given the impact being created the deadly creature on the world.

However, extension of the Lockdown is said to be a huge blunder for ruling parties. Let's analyse this argument through the points mentioned below.

ADVANTAGES TO RULING PARTIES WITH 21-DAY Lockdown:

* The PM Modi and CM's of the states are being treated heroes with 21-day Lockdown.

* Modi's tasks, interim, were performed well by the people. The timely advice given by the CMs were greatly respected by the people.

* If the Lockdown is confined to 21 days, the PM and CMs will be in good books of the people till next general elections.

DISADVANTAGES TO RULING PARTIES WITH EXTENSION OF 21-DAY Lockdown:

* People will lose patience.

* They feel their right to living is grabbed by the rulers.

* They start hating the rulers to the extremity.

* The financial status of everyone is drastically decreased.

* With the possible loss to the exchequers due to prolonged Lockdown, no government would be in a position to implement welfare programmes effectively and no salary hikes of the employees. Eventually, there will be a great unrest among the people. And it can't be discarded the possibility of civil war.

* On the other hand, opposition parties will gain advantage targeting the ruling parties for unnecessary extension of Lockdowns.

* Needless to say, ruling parties will face huge debacles in next general elections.

BOTTOM-LINE: It's heard that some CMs are making childish statements on extension of Lockdown. The PM is hoped to take a sensible decision.
