
Although all the big stars of Tollywood pledged high donations to fight against Coronavirus, they announced their contributions to chief minister relief funds (CMRFs) of Telugu states. Besides, Young Rebel Star Prabhas pledged Rs.3 crores and Power Star Pawan Kalyan Rs.1 crore to PMRF.
But then, except Megastar Chiranjeevi and Young Tiger NTR, no top star of Tollywood announced donations to Tollywood film workers who lost their jobs with the ensuing lockdown imposed in the country. Chiranjeevi announced all his Rs.1 crore donation to film industry's workers. NTR announced Rs.25 lakh to film federation's workers.
And now, Prince Mahesh Babu pledged Rs.25 lakhs to film workers.Previously, he pledged Rs.1 crore donation for AP and Telangana CMRFs.
"The lockdown situation adversely impacts the lives of daily wage cine workers. Will be contributing Rs. 25 lakhs towards Corona crisis charity for TFI workers. Requesting all fellow actors to come forward and make their contributions in these testing times #StayHomeStaySafe," Mahesh Babu tweeted.
