In a drastic step to curb the spread of coronavirus, the Telangana government ordered closure of theaters, malls and educational institutions from midnight today till March 31st. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao took the decision after an emergency meeting with his cabinet colleagues and officials to discuss precautionary measures taken to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.

Health Minister Etela Rajender and Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar also took part in the meeting. The ongoing public examinations, however, will continue as scheduled.

The government also decided to bar all public gatherings in order to check the spread of the virulent Coronavirus. Meanwhile, the lone Covid-19 positive patient was discharged from the Gandhi Hospital after his condition returned to normalcy.

As is known, several films supposed to release this month got postponed to April and May. Nani and Sudheer Babu’s V will release in April. Anchor Pradeep’s 30 Rojullo Preminchatam Ela and Raj Tarun’s Orey Bujjiga were also planned for release on March 25th. With the Government’s orders both these film will also be shifted to other dates.
