Puri Jagannadh took part in Anushka’s 15 years celebrations organized by makers of her next release Nishabdham. While speaking at the he said, “Raghavendra Rao garu gave clap to my first film and blessed me. He asked me my name and when I told him 'Sir, My name is Jagan', he remarked 'I thought you are a Tamilian with a beard'. I told him ' Sir you too have a beard. But we are not thinking like that'. He at once scolded me ' Neeku Vetakaram ekkuvaindi'.

Later I met Raghandra Rao during Super film. I asked him 'Why did you come sir?' He told me 'I came for Nagarjuna's dates'. I told him 'Sir, When I was in the fifth standard I watched your Adavi Ramudu. Now why do you want Nagarjuna's dates when I turned director and making films? Please get retired from the profession.’

He laughed and patted my shoulder and got the dates of Nagarjuna who gave dates to both of us. While I gave him a flop film, Raghavendra Rao presented him a blockbuster like Annamayya. I apologize to Raghavendra Rao for my senseless talk at that time".
