Nani, Shraddha Srinath, Satyaraj's Jersey directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri is stealing the hearts of all with its powerful emotional content. Nani's natural and realistic performance ably supported by Shraddha Srinath, Satyaraj and Gowtham Tinnanuri's story, screenplay, direction captivated everyone.

However many felt that few more elements could have powered Jersey even more. Unanimous opinion is the cricket matches could have been better filmed. Sports lovers who happened to watch the film felt that inclusion of the below-mentioned scenes would have made an even powerful impact.

-When Arjun( Nani) played Ranji Trophy matches, he virtually had a free run. Many felt it's ok for Gowtham Tinnanuri to show Arjun come up with a powerful performance in the charity game against New Zealand. Generally teams take charity games not that seriously. He could have added more drama in the Ranji Trophy matches in the run-up to the final.

-Gowtham could have shown Arjun facing opposition from the team mates at the start of the Rajni trophy due to various reasons. The captain Nandan Reddy, Arjun's rivalry could have been highlighted in the field with Arjun suggesting few changes in the field and Nandan rejecting them.

-Gowtham could have highlighted the dressing room happenings ahead of the matches and Arjun remaining completely disinterested. He could have added more melodrama during the semis and finals which would have made a good impact.

It is known that everyone who watched Jersey felt that cricket matches acted as speed breakers. Those unaware of the game did not get connected as well as they connected to the emotional scenes. Had Gowtham included the above scenes the impact would have been better.

Everyone knows why sports based entertainers like Amir Khan's Lagaan, Shah Rukh Khan's Chak De India, Akshay Kumar's Gold succeeded. All had emotional elements in the games apart from the off field emotions and Jersey missed the same. But others say, Gowtham Tinnanuri never planned to make Jersey a sports based entertainer but he selected the sports backdrop to highlight the father son bonding and so, he concentrated more on father -son emotional scenes than the on-field emotions in the game.
