Floated in 2014, Pawan Kalyan‘s Janasena Party has a motto to ‘Fight for the rights of each and every common person’. Pawan is no common man. He is the top star before bidding adieu to films and is fondly called as Power Star by his fans. His elder brother, film star Chiranjeevi is the Mega Star and nephew Ram Charan the Mega Power Star.

Pawan Kalyan is very much unlike his elder brother and film star Chiranjeevi who was seen as sensible and secure – an establishment man. Pawan, however, is seen as temperamental, and risk loving. Pawan Kalyan has had an election makeover. He sports a lush beard, wears red colored headbands and always has a sense of injury and anger in his speeches.

The JSP formed an alliance with BSP and left parties this time to fight with ruling party TDP and opposition party YSRCP. His elder brother Nagababu also joined the party and is contesting for Narasapuram Lok Sabha constituency. Nonetheless, Chiru who is in Japan is not campaigning for JSP or Congress or any other party.

But, Chiru’s son Ram Charan has lent his support to his babai, though he is not taking part in electioneering. Charan lauding the manifesto of JSP stated, “Excellent manifesto giving priority to all sectors of the society. A new wave in politics. Congrats Kalyan Babai and best wishes to all the candidates of JanaSena Party!! #VoteForGlass. #JANASENARevolution2019.”

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will vote for 25 and 17 Lok Sabha seats respectively on April 11. State elections will be held in Andhra Pradesh simultaneously.
